Build if ever man is a time machine that would transfer a human being in any period of the past or the future? If so, will this machine to ensure the safe return now?
One of the main arguments against this potential lies in the fact that humanity has not yet been visited by guests from the future. It is clear that such a traveller will do everything to see it. It is also likely that one of the guests from the future definitely would have made some error, thus revealing its true face. In the words of Arthur C. Clarke:
"Though they may try to disguise themselves can always happen something unpredictable. For example, what would have happened if we paid a visit to the Roman Empire with cameras and tape recorders, hidden under the toga made of nylon? Time travel not have the time to keep secret... astronauts chronics... befall trouble, and they will be solved."
But can we be sure that this never happened? If history is a strange contradiction, leading to the idea that "astronauts Chronicles have been in the past? Actually there is much evidence of time travel, more than most people can imagine.
Perhaps the most striking testimony of the time travellers are ancient traces and imprints of shoes, which, obviously, the ancient time the appearance of man on Earth.
One of the earliest mention of such things was made by Henry Schoolcraft in the American scientific journal" (1822). He describes the human footprints found near the Mississippi river in St. Louis, Missouri. Of course, it was not known method of measurement of age with radioactive carbon, but traces were found in crinoidea limestone, which was formed over millions of years to the time when man first set foot on the ground. Schoolcraft wrote:
"This prints upright man, lock them heels that is the most natural position. The distance between heels on precise measurements, six and a half inches, and between the toes is thirteen and a half (respectively 16.5 and 30 centimeters). But it should be noted that in the footsteps not the impression of the feet, accustomed to the closed shoes, the toes too widely spread, and the foot flattened, what happens to those who are accustomed to long passages without shoes. Despite this fact, prints amazingly natural, they displayed every muscle and convexity heel and toes with the intrinsic nature of accuracy and reliability, which I couldn't repeat... the Length of each foot, as shown prints, to ten and a half inches and the width of the fingers or four inches (respectively 25,4 and 10 inches) Width is reduced to two and a half inch (6.3 cm) in the area of heels, indicating, as expected, that the footprints belong to the essence of human growth".
Carefully examining footprints, Schoolcraft came to the following conclusion:
"Their appearance leads to the conclusion that these prints were made in an era when the stone was still soft enough to capture them under pressure, and that the traces of feet true".
In 1882 O. C. Marsh found prints, similar to the human footprints excavated near Carson city, Nevada. The traces of smooth, obviously, were made sandals.
Later, in 1896, in the journal American anthropologist" appeared the following information:
"There is information that, the Imperial Hafford from Chamberlain, Walnut hills, Cincinnati, demonstrated in front of the recently held meeting of scientists Ohio large stone brought from the hills four miles North of Parkersburg on the Ohio river from West Virginia, about 20 years ago, which was the imprint of the most that neither is the real human legs fourteen and a half inches (37 cm) in length".
Several similar findings were later made in Colorado, Arizona, Utah and other areas of the United States. One of the most interesting species was discovered in 1968 by Dr. Clifford Bardcom. Fingerprints were found on the Antelope Creek, Utah, and had the appearance of modern track from the Shoe with a clearly defined heel and sole. Im 15 million years, they were made in the Cambrian period.
All these findings are extremely striking archaeologists. They are not logical, as if completely overlapped in time.
Some researchers believe that these prints were made by aliens who on Earth millions of years ago. However, this hypothesis has a lot of inconsistencies. If the prints were made by aliens, then we must assume that they accidentally had the feet of the same shape and size as a person. And, at least for some very short period of time the alien is completely made up of the earth's atmosphere and walked around in ordinary boots, and not in special protective suit.
Probably the most plausible hypothesis is a theory that some of these anomalies were made by the guests from the future. If a time traveler deliberately chose to visit the earth as it was 15 million years ago, the danger that he accidentally do something that will radically change the course of history, was very small. First of all it should trouble any time traveler. Not even mean anything bad, he can perform an action that will have serious unpleasant consequences. Here is an opinion of Arthur Clarke ("a Brief look into the future"):
"Classical argument against time travel is that it would allow the person to go back in time and kill one of their direct predecessors, thus dooming themselves and, probably, a significant proportion of the human race to oblivion.
Or a time traveler can prevent any tragedy of history only in order to give place to another, unexpected tragedy. Probably the safest period for trip back to the past - this is the era preceding the appearance of man on Earth. At least, this will reduce the probability of changing the future course of history".
