The forbidden city in Beijing is the largest and most mysterious Palace complex in the world. More than 500 years served as home to 24 emperors of China, the Palace was closed for ordinary citizens. All who dared to break this rule, would die. And despite the fact that a large part of the complex today is open to the visitors the history of the Forbidden city still remains a mystery.
