While American Curiosity Rover exploring the Red planet in an automatic mode, in the Netherlands is in full swing preparing for a manned mission to Mars.
The project Mars One offers a ticket to Mars everyone. However, it will be a one-way ticket, prevents the administration of the project.
As explained by the founders of the project, modern science and technology is not yet able to ensure the return to Earth even a small research probe, not to mention people.
According to one of the leaders of Mars One Bass Lansdorp, the rocket with four people on Board will travel from Earth to Mars already in 2023. In advance, in 2016 and 2022 there you go planetary base and stocks of food, water and air.
It is expected that once on the surface of the planet, people will start to scientific experiments and to search for traces of the presence of extraterrestrial life.
Experts warn that the mission will be faced with many problems. For example, to extract oxygen is planned from the water that is below the surface of Mars, but reliable water deposits on the planet was found.
In addition, strong winds can disperse the trigger devices are quite far from each other, and will astronauts to overcome at least a few tens of kilometers on foot to the planting of own base, is still unknown.
To Finance each one-way trip is planned at the expense of the reality show that will be broadcast on television.
The ability to follow the journey and life of the first men on Mars is likely to attract the audience, however, the broadcast of the end of life of the crew in space may be illegal, experts say.
"From a technical point of view, the probability of success of this mission is about 50 on 50", - said the Professor of the International technical University Chris Welch.
However, according to him, planting four people in one place, and maintain their viability is quite a difficult task.
There is another side of the flight. Astronauts who will go to Mars, will have to remove or replace artificial some bodies to protect them from the negative effects of radiation and heavy charged particles.
"Man, as a species, have formed on Earth, so long space flights, he is not prepared at every stage of its evolution. For flights to other planets, as if it is a sin may seem, the human body should be slightly modify and improve it. A person has a critical organs are the most susceptible to the influence of radiation that is before the flight to Mars should be removed, replace artificial," said head of laboratory of the Institute of biomedical problems of RAS Vyacheslav Shershakov.
According to him, commonplace in the modern world was the installation of implants on the place of the missing teeth. For participants of long-term space flights in the future, the same will become natural operation, for example, the eyes and the brain, according to TOP News.RU.
