"According to preliminary data ballistic service MCC, engines (ATV-3) will be included in 20.00 GMT and will work 1876 seconds (just over 30 minutes). As a result, ISS will get an additional impetus 4.4 meters per second. The average height of its orbit will increase by 7.7 km and will be 414,42 kilometer" - said in the message.
The operation is performed in order to form the orbit of the ISS before descending to Earth manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-04M" (scheduled for September 17) and the flight of the ship "Soyuz TMA-06M", which is scheduled for October 15.
On the ship "Soyuz TMA-04M" with the ISS to the Earth, should return astronauts Roscosmos Gennady Padalka and Sergei Revin, and NASA astronaut Joseph acaba.
