The head of the company "Roskosmos" Vladimir Popovkin has confirmed that the recently launched satellites failed due to problems with the booster block "breeze-M".



According to Popovkin, the cause of the accident was a manufacturing defect upper stage. As it turned out, it was clogged highway charge additional fuel tanks. This became known after the completion of the investigation of an accident, a special Commission. As is known, the Commission began on 7 August.

Previously one of the members of the Commission expressed similar version of the causes of the accident.

It should be noted that when the rocket, which was to move the two satellites into orbit, engines booster block "breeze-M" works for only 7 seconds, though had to work 18 minutes. In a result, expensive satellites were not delivered to orbit and were lost in space.
