Study English historian Stuart Lakota showed that Britain was not invaded by only 22 States of the 192 members of the United Nations.
The country which has never set foot British invader
On the map above shows that 90% of the globe at one time or another, in one degree or another have experienced the presence of British troops.
Laycock, however, explains that it was not always the invasion directly in the British army. For example, in the case of States of the Caribbean and Central America that were often English pirates, but almost always their raids were inspirituality "crown". In some cases, "raids" happened relatively peacefully - as was the case with Iceland in 1940, when, despite the protests of the Icelandic government on the island landed the first 745 Marines from Britain.
Laycock, previously specialized in books about the Roman Empire, decided to undertake a study on the history of the UK after his son, 11-year-old Frederick wondered how many countries have seized the Kingdom. After two years Laycock, surprised myself out of it. "I considered myself fairly knowledgeable person, but it turned out that there are such places where invaded British soldiers, which I never would have thought, " said the author. - Other countries could write such a book - but they would be much shorter. I think no one can compare to the UK, although the Americans worked hard in this direction in the twentieth century".
Lajcak also suggests that in 22 countries, which, according to his version, not invaded British troops, facts invasion were, he just could not find direct evidence. As an example Laycock leads in this case Mongolia.
The study covered the 192 member States of the UN, the Vatican and Kosovo, which are not members of the United Nations, but recognised by the UK government as independent States.
